Lake Shore — Jason Lee Middle School eighth-grader Andrew Douglas spent a week in Olympia serving as a page for Sen. Ann Rivers, R-La Center. In the page program, students transport documents between offices and deliver messages and mail, as well as spending time in the Senate chamber. They also attend page school to learn parliamentary procedure and the legislative process. They draft their own bills and engage in a mock session. Douglas also enjoys playing soccer, running track and cross-country and playing the bagpipes.
