Clark College splits against Portland Community College

Mailia Aguigui scored 19 points and Kendyl Cone added 18 as the Clark College women’s basketball team beat Portland Community College 78-62 on Wednesday at the O’Connell Sports Center.

Molly Franklin added 15 points including 5-for-7 shooting from 3-point range.

Clark improbed to 7-14 overall and 4-6 in the Northwest Athletic Conference South Division.

The Clark men’s team’s second half rally fell short in a 88-85 loss to Portland.

The Penguins trailed 47-32 at halftime.

Jordan Berni led Clark with 31 points on 12 of 26 shooting, including five 3-pointers.

Clark fell to 12-8 overall and 5-5 in the NWAC South.
