The Falcons finished their California trip on a winning note as Brooke Walling scored 14 points and Mallory Williams had 12.

Walling was named to the all-tournament team.

“Today was the best game we played,” Prairie coach Hala Corral said. “The kids came out and rebounded, pressed, turned the other team over and put it all together.”

After leading just 6-4 after the first quarter, Prairie surged ahead with a 14-5 second quarter, and then held San Joaquin Memorial of Fresno to eight points in the third.

“What this taught us is that you have to come prepared for every game,” Corral said of her team’s tournament experience. “When you are out of state you have to bring it.”
