Boys basketball: Battle Ground 49, Hockinson 47

Brendan Beall scored on a backdoor lay-in with 20 seconds to go, and a blocked shot by Kaden Perry helped preserve Battle Ground’s victory over Hockinson in the championship game of the Dulcich Memorial Tournament at Astoria, Ore.

Beall scored 15 points to lead the Tigers (7-5).

Hockinson (3-6) came back from an early 17-7 deficit to make a game of it. Peyton Brammer led all scorers with 24 points, and Mason Panfiglio had 11.
