A two-vehicle crash Friday afternoon on state Highway 500 sent one driver to the hospital, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Cathleen Gustafson, 53, of Vancouver was in stable condition at Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center, a nursing supervisor said Friday evening.
Shortly before 5 p.m., Gustafson was driving a silver Mazda RX8 on 152nd Avenue and attempted to turn left onto Highway 500. Troopers say she failed to yield, however, and turned in front of a black Toyota Tacoma that was traveling west on the highway. The pickup struck her vehicle in the intersection.
The driver of the pickup, Mark W. Shepherd, 44, of Vancouver was uninjured, troopers said.
Both vehicles were totaled and towed from the scene.
Gustafson was cited for failing to obey a traffic control device, troopers said.
