The Tigers got the opening-round victory at the Dulcich Memorial Tournament on the Oregon Coast, and advance to face host Astoria at 8 p.m. Friday in the tournament’s second round.

Coach Manny Melo praised KeAndre Hunter-Holliday, whose clutch outside shooting was part of a 22-point third quarter. He hit back-to-back 3s to open the third quarter, “which sparked us in the second half,” Melo said. Hunter-Holliday finished with 11 points, one of four Tigers in double figures.

Kaden Perry led BG with 16 points and Elijah Parker had a double-double.
