Orchards Elementary students learn to solve problems using robots

Five Corners — To help with counting, sequencing, estimation and problem solving, Katherine Jackson’s kindergarten students at Orchards Elementary School play with Bee-Bots. The robots are geared to students in pre-kindergarten through first grade. Students press directional keys to move the Bee-Bot forward, backward, left and right on a mat. The students were asked to move the robots to specific points and create mazes for them to navigate.
