Man dies after car hits tree off I-205

A Vancouver man was killed when he crashed into a tree off Interstate 205 early morning Sunday.

According to the Washington State Patrol, Chau V. Pham, 34, was heading north on Interstate 205 around 2:40 a.m.

Then, near state route 500, his car went off the roadway, onto the median and into a tree.

The state patrol said he died at the scene.

Pham was wearing a seat belt, troopers said, and what caused the crash was under investigation.

Update: Friends have set up an online fundraising campaign, to help Pham’s family, through GoFundMe, under “Chau Pham Memorial Fund.
