The Clark County Sheriff’s Office reported Friday that Thomas Dunlap, whose body was found in the parking lot of an east Vancouver storage business a week ago, died from an accidental head injury.

Dunlap’s death prompted an investigation because officers who responded to the report of a body at East Vancouver RV and Boat Storage on Dec. 15 were unable to immediately determine how he died.

On Thursday, the sheriff’s office identified Dunlap and said his death was the result of a “tragic accident” but declined to offer more details.

In the Friday statement, the sheriff’s office clarified that Dunlap “died of a head injury he received while working on his recreational vehicle.”
