The National Weather Service in Portland has issued dense and freezing fog advisories for Thursday morning that includes the greater Vancouver area.

The advisory remains in effect until noon, the weather service said.

Impacted communities include Battle Ground, Ridgefield and Washougal, among others.

Visibility is low at less than a quarter mile at times. Forecasters said the roads and sidewalks may also have slick spots.

A Freezing Fog Advisory means that very light ice accumulation is possible due to freezing fog. If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you,” the weather service said.
