Washougal family wins national award from drug-free campaign

Washougal — Jemtegaard Middle School student Carson Kanzler and his family were named winners of the National Family Partnership’s 2017 National Red Ribbon Photo Contest, which takes place as part of National Red Ribbon Week, a drug prevention campaign. Throughout October, Carson and his family worked to promote his commitment to living a healthy drug-free lifestyle by decorating their front door for this year’s theme: “Your Future Is Key, So Stay Drug Free.” Carson earned $1,000 for his school and an iPad for his family.
