The Eagles followed their game plan to a T, and are now 6-1 overall. A big part of it was utilizing post Trevion Weiss off the bench against Battle Ground’s 6-foot-8 freshman, Kaden Perry.
Weiss had what coach Theo Mikaele called a “big night” with a team-best 18 points, including hitting clutch free throws in the fourth quarter for the Eagles to pull away.
“We followed our game plan,” Mikaele said. “A big piece of that was getting the Perry kid.”
Perry finished with 15 points, but early foul trouble limited the freshman’s on-court time.
Quadrese Teague added 14 points for Bay, and Eli Hoover had 10. Eric Raypolov had seven points and 11 rebounds.
