Ridgefield, outsized and understaffed, fell to Centralia in a 52-46 loss on Thursday.

Down two starters, the Spudders were within five points in the waning minutes, but Centralia hit a crucial 15 of 19 free throws as a team to keep Ridgefield at arm’s length.

Devi Dugan finished with 23 points and Kylie Greenwald added 17 for the Spudders. Both has five 3s — the team hit 12.

“They were bigger than us. We held our own,” Ridgefield coach Tom Klutz said. “We made 3s, that’s what kept us in it.”

Karli Oliver had team-high 12 rebounds and five blocks for Ridgefield.
