Woodland — Woodland High School hosted its first College Fair last month, bringing in representatives from nearly 20 colleges, universities and trade schools from around the Pacific Northwest. Mary Ann Sturdivan, Woodland High School’s career and college guidance specialist, organized the fair, in which students as part of their High School and Beyond Plan, designed to guide students through thinking and planning what to do after graduation. The students filled out a profile detailing what they learned, and researched each educational institution. They looked at location, average class size, tuition pricing, housing and book costs, types of scholarships or financial aid offered, job placement assistance following program completion, programs and degrees offered and top three admissions requirements.
