Carter Murray broke things open for the Washougal Panthers in a big way with a team-best 22 points and one of four Panthers to score in double figures. Washougal improved to 4-3 on the season with the victory.
Murray hit a key 3-pointer that helped spark the Panthers to outscore Stevenson 25-16 in the final eight minutes. The teams were tied 57-all entering the fourth quarter.
“That guy can shoot,” Stevenson coach Kevin Edwards said.
Carson Adams added 17, Alex Orr had 12 and Moses McEwen had 11 for Washougal.
Isaac Hoidal had a game-high 27 to lead Stevenson. He also had 12 rebounds and six steals. Lincoln Krog added 19 points, five rebounds and four steals.
