Washougal — Kabiah Blain and Jaedyn Burrese, art students at Jemtegaard Middle School, were recognized for their work by staff in the district office. On a rotating basis throughout the school year, student artwork from middle schools in the district is displayed on walls in the district office. District staff vote on their favorites, and then the students are recognized. “Students are motivated to be very creative and do their best knowing that others are going to judge and enjoy their artwork,” Dani Allen, Jemtegaard art teacher, said in a release from the district.
