Five Corners school gets grant for mentoring program

Five Corners — Thanks to a $2,500 check from iQ for Kids, Silver Star Elementary School will bring in Teach One to Lead One this school year. The community mentoring program will bring 11 trained volunteers into the school to mentor 87 students. Teach One to Lead One is a program in Clark County schools that looks to work with at-risk kids by helping them become responsible citizens by building their character based on practical leadership skills and universal principles.
