A man was shot in the North Image neighborhood in east Vancouver Sunday night, and he was still alive when brought to the hospital.

Police and ambulances were called to a home on Northeast 132nd Place around 8:30 p.m. for a report of a disturbance with a firearm and someone suffering from a gunshot wound, according to emergency dispatch logs.

In a news release, the Vancouver Police Department said responding officers found a man at the location with at least one gunshot wound, and he was transported to a hospital.

The police said he was alive when transported, but his condition was not available. The department did not identify him.

The police said that night no suspects were in custody, and investigators did not think there was any danger to the general public in relation to the shooting.
