Three ESD 112 members up for re-election in fall

Vancouver – Three Educational Service District 112 board members are up for re-election this fall.

Darlene Stickel, who represents Evergreen Public Schools, and Trish Kellog, who represents Ridgefield, parts of Battle Ground and parts of Vancouver school districts, are both up for re-election.

Rainer Houser, who represents Castle Rock, part of Kelso, Longview, Naselle-Grays River Valley, Ocean Beach, Toutle Lake and Wahkiakum School Districts, is also up for election.

All three will run to keep their seats. The position runs from January 2018 through December 22.

Other candidates wishing to run can obtain a form from the Administrative Resource Office, Old Capitol Building, P.O. Box 47200, Olympia, WA, 98504, or by phone at 360-725-6132. Forms can also be collected from Educational Service District 112-Attention: Terri Tangalin-Piedra, Administrative Assistant to the Board of Directors, 2500 N.E. 65th Ave., Vancouver, WA, 98661, or by phone at 360-352-3317.

Declarations of candidacy must be filed with the Administrative Resources Office between Friday and Sept. 16. Each current school board member in ESD 112 will receive a ballot and can vote by mail Oct. 1 through 16.

To qualify, candidates must be registered voters who live in the school district they’re filing to run in.
