Portland – Lincoln Place, a 30-unit apartment complex in west Vancouver that houses formerly homeless people, will be honored as part of the 2017 Philanthropy Awards Luncheon presented by the Association of Fundraising Professionals Oregon and Southwest Washington Chapter. Lincoln Place is getting the Outstanding Innovative Project Award for “identifying, engaging and housing Vancouver residents who have been homeless the longest and most in need of resources,” according to a news release from the Association of Fundraising Professionals Oregon. The housing program is a collaboration with Share, Community Services Northwest, Vancouver Housing Authority and Key Properties.
The luncheon happening Nov. 13 at the Hilton Portland & Executive Tower Hotel celebrates National Philanthropy Day and recognizes other award recipients in the Portland metro area:
- Jim and Cathy Rudd, Vollum Award for Lifetime Philanthropic Achievement.
- Rick and Erika Miller, Outstanding Philanthropists.
- Daimler Trucks North America, Outstanding Philanthropic Corporation.
- CASA for Children of Multnomah, Washington and Columbia Counties, Outstanding Volunteer Group.
- Julie Shiffer Vigeland, Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser.
