Minor League baseball update No. 11 on Clark County athletes through games of Aug. 26, 2017. Do note that update No. 12 will be the season finale and will go online Sept. 5 as that is when most minor league seasons end:

Triple-A

Recent highlights: Had four strikeouts in two outing last week, throwing 3.2 innings.

Recent highlights: Went 2 for 5 with two doubles, an RBI and a run scored in a 7-6 win at Biloxi (Brewers) on Aug. 26.

Clint Coulter (Union HS), Biloxi Shuckers (Southern League, Milwaukee Brewers)
Position: OF

Recent highlights: Hit a 2-run double in Biloxi’s 4-0 win against Mobile (Angels) on Aug. 25.

Taylor Williams (Camas HS), Biloxi Shuckers (Southern League, Milwaukee Brewers 40-man roster)
Position: RHP
Season stats: 0-2, 3.38 ERA, 20 games, 14 starts, 42.2 IP, 52 Ks, 21 BB, 1.45 WHIP
Recent highlights: Pitched 2 clean innings last week with a strikeout against Jacksonville on Aug. 20 and Mobile on Aug. 23.

Tommy Thorpe (Evergreen HS), Tennessee Smokies (Southern League, Chicago Cubs)
Position: LHP
Season stats: 3-4, 4.06 ERA, 37 games, 62.0 IP, 62 Ks, 32 BB, 1.40 WHIP
Recent highlights: Moved up to Triple-A Iowa on Aug. 19, pitched 2 innings of a 9-1 win at Nashville (A’s) on Aug. 20 with one hit allowed and one strikeout. Moved to Double-A Tennessee on Aug. 24 and pitched 1.2 innings with two strikeouts and a walk, earning a hold, at Montgomery (Rays).

Single-A (advanced)

Ian Hamilton (Skyview HS), Winston-Salem Dash (Carolina League, Chicago White Sox)
Position: RHP
Season stats: 3-6, 2.75 ERA, 42 games, 7/9 saves/opportunities, 68.2 IP, 70 Ks, 16 BB, 1.08 WHIP
Recent highlights: Threw a two-inning save against Bules Creek (Astros) in a 5-3 win on Aug. 26. He allowed one run on two hits with three strikeouts and no walks. Has only walked two batters in his last 10 outings (13.1 innings).

Recent highlights: Has not walked a batter in his last four outings.

Isaiah Smith (Battle Ground HS), AZL Royals (Arizona League, Kansas City Royals)

Recent highlights: Went 1 for 3 with a double in a 5-2 win against AZL Rangers on Aug. 25. Was 2 for 3 with a home run and three RBI in a 19-6 loss to AZL Padres 2 on Aug. 22.
