Vancouver police are investigating after the Vancouver Barracks base exchange was broken into three times in one night.
Surveillance footage obtained by police shows that at about 10:30 p.m. on Aug. 17, a man reportedly broke into the store, off Fort Vancouver Way, and returned twice with another man over the course of three hours, the Vancouver Police Department reported.
The suspect reportedly broke a set of double glass doors with a large rock, the size of a softball that was found about 30 feet inside, Vancouver police spokeswoman Kim Kapp said. Someone later noticed the broken doors and reported the incident, Kapp said.
The suspects stole an unknown amount of alcohol and tobacco, Sgt. Pat Moore said.
Detectives with the agency’s Neighborhood Response Team are working to identify the two suspects in the case.
Anyone who recognizes the suspects is asked to call the agency’s tip line at 360-487-7399.
