Construction on Padden Parkway finished early, allowing the westbound stretch of the road between Northeast 162nd Avenue and Northeast 117th Avenue to re-open around 6 p.m. Sunday.

The work was originally scheduled to run no later than 5 a.m. Monday, depending on weather.

The work is part of the county’s asphalt overlay program, which totals 26 lane miles. Granite Construction Co. was awarded the $5.13 million contract for this year’s asphalt overlay program.
