Three Brothers Vineyard & Winery will host Comedy In The Vineyard, an evening of comedy featuring Garbriel, winner of the Seattle International Comedy Competition, and Susan Rice, named Portland’s Funniest Person in 2015. Over Labor Day Weekend, members of the Southwest Washington Winery Association will open their vineyards for the Food and Wine Pairing Tour. Visitors can get a taste of the emerging wine region, meet winemakers and try some culinary delights on this self-guided tour that runs noon to 6 p.m. Sept. 2-4 at participating venues in Clark County, a list can be found online. Camas-Washougal Historical Society hosts its annual Heritage Day celebration aimed at connecting community members with the past. The fifth annual Dinner in White on the Columbia River will raise funds to help build a new Washougal Community Library. The annual North County Wine Run, hosted by Get Bold events, features a half-marathon and three-person relay that takes participants through the rolling hills, rural landscape and past views of Mount St. Helens in north Clark County. After the run, there will be wine from five local wineries, music, vendor booths and entertainment. The 18th annual BirdFest and Bluegrass is gearing up for three days of festivities with a release of the festival schedule and registration for popular ticketed events. Participants can view hundreds of sandhill cranes in flight with the Sandhill Crane Tours at 5 p.m. Oct. 6; 6 a.m. and 5 p.m. Oct. 7-8 for $30 per person. Birding photography workshops will be offered Oct. 7 and 8 for $15. Guided interpretive kayak paddles will be hosted by Alder Creek on Oct. 7-8 for $30, with children free when accompanied by an adult.
