3 on 3 basketball tournament at Marshall Park is a big hit

The Hoops 360 3on3 basketball tournament began Saturday at Marshall Park with 189 teams from around the area participating.

The biggest group was the high school boys division with 34 teams. There were 21 teams in the 8th grade boys division and 20 teams in the 6th grade boys division.

First team to 20 points (or team leading after 25 minutes) was declared the winner of each matchup.

Final pool play games begin at 9 a.m. Sunday and championship games follow.

Grades 3-8 team finals begin at 1 p.m. The final game of the high school girls division is at 3 p.m. followed adult co-ed/recreational at 4 p.m., the high school boys at 4:30 p.m. and the adult-elite at 5 p.m. (Click here for complete schedule)

The outdoor venue is at 1069 E. McLoughlin Blvd., and is free to spectators plus free parking is available.

Saturday also featured 3-point and dunk contests. Festivities began Friday with a block party.
