Gideon Malychewski went 3 for 3 with a double and three RBI as Camas-Washougal lost to host Lawrenceburg, Tenn., 9-5 at the Babe Ruth 13-15 World Series on Monday.

The loss dropped Camas-Washougal to 1-3 in pool play, eliminating the squad from the World Series.

Malychewski had a two-run double to cap a four-run second inning, giving Camas-Washougal a 4-2 lead.

But Lawrenceburg countered with a five-run bottom of the second to regain the lead.

Logan Kearsey, Lucas Barbier, Evan Stott and Tayler Shega also collected hits for Camas-Washougal.
