Camas High School graduate Brian Humphreys shot a 6-over 76 on the first day of stroke play at the U.S. Amateur in Los Angeles, putting him in 183rd place out of 312 golfers.
The top 64 golfers after Tuesday’s second round of stroke play will advance to the match play round of 64 on Wednesday. Humphreys, who plays college golf for Boise State, is four shots behind the golfers tied for 61st place after play Monday at Riviera Country Club.
