Extra officers looking for impaired drivers Friday arrested two people on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, according to the Vancouver Police Department.
Four officers from the Vancouver, Battle Ground and Washougal police departments worked a total of 33 1/4 extra hours as part of the emphasis patrol, which was paid for through a state grant.
The officers made 98 contacts, gave seven citations, gave 33 warnings, and made two arrests.
Another round of emphasis patrols, occurring state wide, are set to start Friday and last through Labor Day.
