Clark Talks: Podcast looks at tolls, primary outcomes

By Dameon Pesanti, Columbian staff writer
Published: August 10, 2017, 6:03am

In this week’s Clark Talks, The Columbian’s reporters talk with our congresswoman and look at local elections.

Politics reporter Jake Thomas talks with Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler, R-Battle Ground, about the possibility of Oregon putting tolls at the state line and more.

Then Thomas, show host Dameon Pesanti and intern Will Campbell take a look at which Vancouver City Council and mayoral candidates came out on top during the August primary election. Then they talk about the Port of Vancouver commissioner District 1 race, the candidates participating and potential implications that could result.

The show ends with a roundup of local events this weekend and beyond with community events maven Ashley Swanson.

You can find the show on Soundcloud, or subscribe for free downloads on iTunes or Stitcher. Contact Pesanti and Gillespie about the podcast at podcast@columbian.com.
