A Battle Ground man accused of possessing child pornography — some of the images he allegedly created include a young girl and himself — appeared Monday in Clark County Superior Court.

Michael S. Hudson Jr., 31, appeared on suspicion of first-degree possessing depictions of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct and sexual exploitation of a minor.

Investigators received a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children of a Google email account that was used to send and view child pornography, according to a probable cause affidavit filed in Superior Court.

During their investigation, police traced the account back to Hudson and discovered that he uploaded and transferred as many as 100 child pornographic images. Some of the images he created and traded online, the affidavit states.

Hudson’s bail was set at $100,000 on Monday. He will be arraigned Aug. 18.
