Five Corners — Cascade Park Kiwanis and the Department of Social and Health Services teamed up for the annual foster children’s barbecue for more than 350 children and their families at Crossroads Community Church. Kiwanis members provided food with assistance from GiftTree, McDonald’s, the Pacific Northwest Kiwanis Foundation and Crossroads, and Key Club members from HeLa High School, Mountain View High School and Camas High School served the food. Kids had the chance to enjoy a bounce house and play games organized by church members. A clown entertained, along with therapy animals from Columbia River Pet Partners. Free books for attendees were provided by Barnes and Noble.
