Clark softball team cruises past Grays Harbor in DH

One of the hotter teams in NWAC softball, Clark College swept a pair of South region games from Grays Harbor on Saturday in Vancouver.

The Penguins won 15-7 and 13-0, both games in five innings.

Clark (12-11, 10-8 South) has won five games in a row and is 8-2 over its last 10 games.

Karley Yoshioka was 4 for 7 with two home runs and six RBI in the doubleheader. Cortney Curtis was a combined 3 for 5 with a double, home run and six RBI. Shaz Nakoa-Chung hit a grand slam in the first game.

Madison Plummer pitched a three-hit shutout in Game 2 with five strikeouts. She was also 2 for 3 with a double and two RBI at the plate.

Clark baseball

 The Clark baseball team split a doubleheader against Chemeketa on Saturday, winning the first game 3-2 and losing the second game 8-0. Clark (14-14, 5-9) was held to three hits in the loss. No details were provided on the first game.
