A gas leak prompted a brief evacuation of Skyview High School, according to the school.

In an email to parents from Associate Principal Luke LeCount, students and staff left the building after noticing a gas odor around noon.

Firefighters and NW Natural Gas arrived at the school to shut off the gas. The gas utility found the source and spent the day repairing it.

The fire department gave the all clear to go back inside about 20 minutes later, LeCount said.
