A credit union in Vancouver’s Landover-Sharmel neighborhood was robbed Wednesday morning, and the suspect remains at large, according to Vancouver police.

Officers were called to the Northwest Priority Credit Union, 11215 N.E. 28th St., at about 10:30 a.m., for a report of a robbery.

A suspect, described as a man in his 20s wearing a wig and a red sweater, entered the bank, passed a note to a teller and fled on foot with cash, Vancouver Police Department spokeswoman Kim Kapp said.

Officers used a police dog to search for the man but did not locate him, Kapp said.

Endeavor Elementary School and Columbia Technical Academy were placed on a brief lockdown during the search, Kapp said.
