Vancouver – Starting Monday, a short section of Northeast 99th Street, east of state Highway 503 will close for about two months.

Construction crews will widen and improve part of the road. The project requires closing part Northeast 99th Street from Northeast 117th Avenue/state Highway 503 to Northeast 118th Avenue for about 60 days.

Detour signs will be in place to direct drivers. Most traffic will use Northeast 95th Street and Northeast 126th Avenue.

C-Tran will reroute the No. 72 Orchards bus line. Clark County has worked with Battle Ground and Evergreen school districts to distribute information to local interests.

Nutter Corp. of Vancouver was awarded a $2.34 million contract to complete the project.

A detour map is available at: www.clark.wa.gov/public-works/ne-99th-street-sr-503-intersection.
