A conflict between two men in Ridgefield Wednesday night ended in a vehicular assault arrest.

Ridgefield police officers were called to 2409 N. Ninth Circle at 11:40 p.m. for a report of an injury traffic crash.

Responding officers learned that it was actually a dispute between two men that ended with one hitting the other with a vehicle.

Benjamin Toun was trying to drive away from a conflict with Ryan Glidewell and ended up hitting him, Ridgefield Police Chief John Brooks said. Ages and city of residence for both men were not immediately available.

Glidewell was taken to Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center, where he remains in fair condition.

Brooks said that though the pathway for the vehicle in the cul-de-sac was narrow, Toun continued driving after the collision and did not report the crash.

Toun was arrested on suspicion of vehicular assault.
