Deputies are investigating a shooting that resulted in bullets hitting a residence and a business Wednesday night in the Sunnyside neighborhood.

Five to six gunshots were heard in the area of Northeast 99th Street and 117th Avenue just before 9 p.m. Wednesday, according to Clark County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Sgt. Fred Neiman.

While a deputy was en route, a woman called 911 to report that her house in the 9800 block of 115th Avenue had been hit, Neiman said.

A deputy arrived and found a bullet had entered the home, gone through a hallway and went through two interior walls inside the residence, Neiman said.

The clerk at a Chevron station, 9810 N.E. 117th Ave., reported that a round had struck a card reader at the store, Neiman said. The clerk told deputies that he had heard shots but didn’t see anything.

It appears the shooting happened on the street, Neiman said, but there were no reports of anyone being injured or being shot at, he added.

If anyone saw anything in the area or has information on the incident, they are asked to call the sheriff’s office at 360-397-6079.
