Clark County – Seton Catholic College Preparatory High School opened its doors Monday, and acknowledged the milestone with a blessing Wednesday.

Construction has been underway at the facility at 9000 N.E. 64th Ave., for about a year. The 44,000 square foot facility replaces the school’s previous cramped building, which was about a third of the size.

Seton Catholic is about halfway through a $20 million capital campaign to pay for the new building and programs. The school has 185 students and in the new facility can expand to 300. A second wing will eventually be added, allowing the school’s student body to expand to 500 students.

“I think everyone’s feeling just wonderful about what this building will do for future generations,” Development Director Craig Schaefer said. “It was a lot of work.”
