An outage disrupted 911 service for Battle Ground residents who use Comcast’s telephone service for several hours this morning, according to Clark Regional Emergency Services Agency, but services were restored before noon.

The Clark Regional Emergency Services Agency said Comcast had the issues fixed by around 11:45. The agency said it had no information yet on the cause, and asked callers to refrain from dialing 911 to test the connection.

Cell phone users and CenturyLink customers can still call 911, but Comcast VOIP customers’ calls were routed to a national call center.

Battle Ground Comcast telephone customers were instructed to call the Clark County 911 center directly at 360-696-4461.
