A new fall festival will raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Portland.

The PDX City of Cider is 4 to 10 p.m. Oct. 14 and noon to 8 p.m. Oct. 15 at the Portland Expo Center, 2060 N. Marine Dr., Portland.

The event is open to all ages. Tickets are $12; kids 12 and younger are free. Tickets can be purchased at the door or in advance through TicketsWest.

The event will feature dozens of ciders from across the country, as well as beers, wines and distilled spirits from local companies. The event will also include food, exhibitors, live entertainment and kids activities.

For the last two years, the MDA Portland office has held the NW CiderFest at Pioneer Square. The MDA decided not to host the event this year, so Metropolitan Productions, which runs the Portland Seafood & Wine Festival, stepped in and created the new event.

The proceeds of the event will benefit the MDA.
