Hudson’s Bay — A group from The Mission Continues traveled across the Columbia River from Portland recently to work on a project at Fort Vancouver. On Sept. 11, the Portland 1st Platoon visited the Fort and replaced an old section of fence. The Mission Continues is a national organization that works with veterans who are adjusting to life at home, and helps them find purpose through community impact. Veterans are sent on new missions in their communities, so that their actions will inspire future generations to serve, according to the organization’s website. The Mission Continues has platoons based in Portland and Seattle in the Pacific Northwest.
