Battle Ground — Organizations in Battle Ground joined together on Sept. 10 to clean up the city as part of Clark County Connects’ fifth annual Day of Service. Members of Cub Scout Pack 443, the Battle Ground Rotary Club and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints worked throughout the day, picking up liter, raking, weeding and spreading bark. They cleaned up around Kiwanis Park, the Battle Ground Community Center and City Hall. The goal of the day is to raise awareness of the needs in the community and provide opportunities for volunteers to meet those needs, according to Clark County Connects’ website.
