Ridgefield – Nighttime drivers of Interstate 5 who travel between Ridgefield and Vancouver should plan for possible delays this week.

Contractors working for Washington State Department of Transportation will close several off- and on-ramps for repairs. The work depends on the weather.

Starting today to Friday morning, crews will periodically close ramps from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night. However, no two consecutive ramps will be simultaneously closed. Ramp closure information will be posted on electronic message boards along the interstate.

The closure will be as follows:

Today:

• The southbound I-5 off-ramp to state Highway 501 Pioneer Street/Ridgefield

• The southbound I-5 off-ramp to the Gee Creek Rest Area

• The southbound I-5 off-ramp to state Highway 502/Battle Ground

Wednesday:

• The southbound I-5 off-ramp to Highway 501 Pioneer Street/Ridgefield

• The southbound I-5 off-ramp to the Gee Creek Rest Area

• The southbound I-5 off- and on-ramp at Highway 502/Battle Ground

• The northbound I-5 off- and on-ramp at Highway 501 Pioneer Street/Ridgefield

Thursday:

• The Highway 502 on-ramp to southbound I-5

• The southbound I-5 off-ramp to Northeast 179th Street

• The northbound I-5 off- and on-ramp at Highway 501 Pioneer Street/Ridgefield

The work is part of a 10-mile resurfacing project on I-5 between the Clark County Event Center at the Fairgrounds and the North Fork Lewis River Bridge.
