Three people were injured in a four-vehicle collision Friday evening on Interstate 5 near Woodland.
The wreck occurred at about 7:20 p.m. Friday on southbound I-5 near Milepost 18, which is about 3 miles south of Woodland. Two people were taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center for injuries — a third was injured but not taken to the hospital — and the driver of one vehicle was charged with driving under the influence, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Dennis W. Yarosz, 58, of Ridgefield was driving a 2007 Toyota Yaris in the left lane of I-5. The Yaris struck the rear end of a 2007 International 4300 Attenuator truck that was also traveling in the left lane. Londale K. Dever, 41, of Vancouver was driving the commercial truck.
The impact caused the Yaris to spin into the center lane, where the Yaris was struck by a 2002 Honda Civic driven by Mainor Ramos Calvo, 18, of Ridgefield. The Yaris then struck the guardrail on the right shoulder and stopped, according to the state patrol.
