Liam Nabors threw for four touchdowns and ran for another and Jonathan Stell rushed for 114 yards and a touchdown as King’s Way moved to 3-0.
Nabors racked up 213 yards passing and Stell led a potent ground game as King’s Way, a 1A school, rushed for 225 yards on the evening. The Spartans, from the 3A Metro Mountain league, stayed in the game with three scoring plays over 50 yards but couldn’t keep up with the Knights.
Matt Garrison finished with five receptions for 103 yards and a touchdown. Michael Garrison had two touchdown receptions and Sam Brower added a 34-yard interception return for a touchdown for King’s Way, who plays host to Orcas Island from the 1B/2B Northwest League on Saturday, September 24. Kickoff is scheduled for noon.
