Planning commission seeking new member

Vancouver – The city of Vancouver is seeking applicants to fill a vacancy on its planning commission. It’s a volunteer commission, made up of seven members who make recommendations to the city council on zoning and other land-use matters.

The commission is seeking candidates who are interested and have experience in community planning, urban design, housing development or who are active in neighborhood or business affairs, according to a release from the city.

The job requires about 15 hours a month, including attendance at meetings held at 4 p.m. at Vancouver City Hall the second and fourth Tuesday of every month.

Completed applications are due by 11:59 p.m. Sept. 30 at the city manager’s office. Apply at www.cityofvancouver.us/boards.
