East Vancouver — Students in Evergreen Public Schools spent some time this summer hanging out with cops. Students at Orchards and Mill Plain elementary schools participated in the Police Activities League summer camps. The camps included sports, art projects, field trips, nature walks and science projects. They also received a visit from Peppa the therapy horse and were given healthy eating presentations. The league aims to promote positive relationships between police officers and youth through community events, educational programs and recreational activities.
