Battle Ground — A team of 17 adults from Battle Ground’s Landmark Church traveled to Chimaltenango, Guatemala, Aug. 20-27. The group built two homes for single women and their children, distributed food to the homes of 14 families and their children in the village of San Jacinto and presented hundreds of people with hygiene packets. While in Guatemala, they also visited an orphanage for disabled children in Antigua, participated in a craft day at an elderly home in El Tejar and attended services at three different churches. The church group also handed out toys to children at every stop.
