Portland police officers arrested 10 men, including three from Vancouver, on suspicion of patronizing a prostitute as part of an undercover online sex trafficking sting earlier this month.
Last week, the Portland Police Bureau said investigators placed online ads on websites known as hubs for trafficking, then the 10 men contacted undercover officers to arrange payment for sex acts.
A Portland hotel helped with the police plan, and the men who responded to the ad and came to the hotel were arrested on suspicion of patronizing a prostitute, which is a misdemeanor in Oregon.
All 10 were from the Portland metro area, including Vancouver’s Mario Abal Forzan, 55; Adan John Falatovich, 34; and Emmanuel Rodriguez Barreto, 30, according to the police.
One of the men was also arrested for possession and distribution of methamphetamine, the bureau said.
