Tickets are available for the First Citizen award ceremony honoring Clark College President Bob Knight. The reception is 4 to 6 p.m. Nov. 2 at Warehouse ’23, 100 Columbia St., the site of the former Red Lion Hotel Vancouver at the Quay.
Tickets are $35 at www.columbian.com/firstcitizen and at the door.
Knight’s nomination focuses on his military service, career at Clark College and as “one of the most active community volunteers in our region,” as described by former Vancouver Mayor Royce Pollard. Twenty-nine letters of support, including seven from former First Citizens, were submitted as part of the nomination.
The reception is sponsored by the Community Foundation and The Columbian.
